The Schubox® Catalytic Infrared Drying System cures coatings from within the paint film, rather than relying only on conventional hot air. This supports a faster, more even curing process and helps us produce smooth, hard and consistent factory finishes.
Its lower-temperature operation is particularly well suited to MDF and temperature-sensitive materials, helping reduce the risk of fibre raising, warping, swelling or movement while coatings cure.
For suitable projects requiring enhanced reaction-to-fire performance, we use the water-based ADLER Pyrolan Expand intumescent coating system for wood and wood-based materials.
When exposed to extreme heat, the coating expands to form an insulating protective layer, helping slow flame spread and reduce smoke development. Professional spray application allows timber, MDF panels, architectural features and bespoke joinery to retain a considered decorative appearance.
Fire performance depends on the complete tested specification, including substrate, preparation, application rate and topcoat. Project requirements should be confirmed before manufacture.
