A smoother, smarter way to create your home

At Hassock Wood based in London, we combine traditional craftsmanship with modern manufacturing technology to create beautifully fitted kitchens and bedrooms at a far more competitive price than many high street showrooms. Because we design, manufacture and install everything ourselves, you benefit from higher quality materials, greater attention to detail and a completely tailored finish. And because there is no showroom, we bring the conversation, samples and material choices to you.

Designed to be felt, not just seen

A kitchen is a significant purchase, and it needs to feel right long before it is installed. The weight of a door, the texture of a painted finish, the smooth close of a drawer and the way a worktop catches the light all shape how the room feels to live in.

As we do not work from a traditional showroom, we bring that experience into your home and onto the website through close-up details, honest guidance and carefully selected samples during the design stage.

You can see finishes in your own lighting, compare tones with your flooring and handle real samples before decisions are made.

Personal kitchen design consultation with material samples

A more personal way to design a kitchen

Hassock Wood was built around a simpler, more personal approach to fitted interiors. From the first conversation through to installation, you deal with the people designing and building your kitchen, not a showroom sales team.

There are no pressure-led appointments, no unnecessary handovers between departments and no push towards a standard package. Instead, we focus on thoughtful design, honest guidance and creating spaces that genuinely feel right for the home they are being made for.

We believe the best kitchens come from understanding how people actually live day to day; how they cook, gather, store, move and spend time together. That understanding shapes every detail, from layout and storage to materials, lighting and finish.

SPEAK TO US

The design visit, brought to your home

A kitchen is easier to imagine when decisions are made in the room it will belong to. Your home design visit gives you time to talk through ideas, compare materials in your own light and understand how the whole project can come together, without the pressure of a showroom appointment.

Bringing the showroom experience to your home

During the visit, we take time to understand how you use the space, what currently works, what feels frustrating and what you would like the kitchen or fitted furniture to improve.

We can talk through layout, storage, colours, door styles, worktops, handles and the smaller practical details that make a kitchen feel comfortable to live with every day.

Because samples are viewed in your own home, you can see how finishes respond to your natural light, flooring, wall colours and existing surroundings before committing.

About us

See our workshop in action

Every kitchen, bedroom and fitted furniture project we create begins life in our London workshop.

Using advanced CNC machinery alongside traditional cabinet-making skills, we're able to achieve exceptional accuracy, consistency and finish throughout every project.

This short video shows one stage of the manufacturing process in action. It's part of how we maintain complete control over quality, from the first design drawings through to final installation in your home.

Unlike many retailers, we don't outsource production. The same team involved in designing your project is closely connected to its manufacture, helping ensure every detail is produced exactly as intended.

Questions we’re often asked

What does Hassock Wood make?

Hassock Wood designs, manufactures and installs bespoke kitchens, fitted bedrooms, wardrobes and made-to-measure storage for homes across London and the surrounding areas.

Will I deal with the same person throughout the project?

Yes. Your project is handled by one dedicated team from the first design conversation through to manufacture, installation and aftercare. That means a more personal experience and fewer handovers along the way.

Do you bring samples to the home design visit?

Yes. We can bring a carefully selected range of door finishes, colours, handles and material samples to your home, helping you see how they look and feel in your own light and surroundings.

How do you replace the need for a showroom?

We focus on a more personal design experience. The website shows close-up craftsmanship and material detail, then the home visit allows you to handle samples, compare finishes and talk through how the kitchen will feel to use every day.

Do you manage the installation process?

Yes. We handle design, manufacture and installation, and can help coordinate associated works such as worktops, electrics, plumbing and tiling where required. The aim is to keep the project clear, organised and easier to manage.

Can you help me choose worktops, colours and finishes?

Yes. We guide you through worktops, colours, handles, door styles, storage and practical material choices, helping you make decisions that feel balanced within your own home.

What if I do not know exactly what I want yet?

That is completely normal. Many projects begin with rough ideas, inspiration photos or simple measurements. The consultation is there to help shape the layout, style, materials and details gradually.

Where are your kitchens and bedrooms made?

Our kitchens, bedrooms and fitted furniture are made in our own London workshop. This allows us to control the quality, finish and detail of each project before it is installed in your home.

What happens during the home design visit?

We talk through your space, ideas, layout, storage needs, finishes and practical requirements. It is a relaxed design conversation, not a showroom-style sales appointment.

Can you help with worktops, appliances, tiling and electrics?

Yes. We can talk through worktop options, appliance planning, lighting, sockets, plumbing, tiling and finishing details. We will also explain what we handle directly and where trusted specialist trades may be involved.

Will I deal with the same people throughout?

Yes. The aim is to keep the process personal and consistent, with one dedicated team involved from the first conversation through to design, manufacture and installation.

What if I do not know exactly what I want yet?

That is completely normal. Many projects begin with rough ideas rather than fixed plans. The design visit helps shape the layout, style, materials and practical details at a comfortable pace.

How do I start a bespoke kitchen or bedroom project?

You can start by sending a few details about your space, what you would like made and any measurements or photos you already have. We can then talk through the design, finishes, storage and next steps.
